PRISONWORLD BOOKS/FILMS
We are happy to announce that now your freedom challenged loved one can submit their completed book manuscript of film script for review and possible publishing. We will be reviewing written works for the next six months before we make any decisions. Here are the rules:
1. Book Maunuscripts and Film Scripts MUST BE COMPLETE. Any that are not will be thrown in the trash. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
2. We are looking for "better than ordinary" material so anything that is full of sex and profanity does not meet the standards. We are looking for those who are thinking "outside the box."
3. Manuscripts will not be returned unless a self-addressed stamped envelope is provided. Envelope must be correct size and postage in order to be returned.
4. We do not copyright work nor do we "steal" work. Please make sure that if you want your work copyrighted, than you do what is necessary to make that happen. If your work is not copyrighted than we need to be informed so we know in which direction to proceed. It will not deny the reviewing of the material but we do have extra steps that we take with non-copyrighted material.
5. Submissions costs $10, unless you are a VIP. Why? Because our time is valuable. With over 2.3 million people incarcerated and the majority of them trying to be writers, we would be overwhelmed with submissions. Our staff is small and our days are full. Also, this helps us to distinguish who is serious and who is not. We will accept 30 stamps for this service as well.
Please remember we are looking for the average thug story that you can get from every drug dealer. The story needs to be unique and the writing needs to jump off the page.
